Doctor by the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela with the thesis Aprendizaje-servicio y rendimiento académico del alumnado universitario. La evaluación de un programa 2019. Supervised by Dr. Miguel Anxo Santos Rego, Dr. María del Mar Lorenzo Moledo.

PhD in Education (USC), with International Mention and Extraordinary Award. His priority lines of research are: service-learning, higher education and skills development. He was a professor at UVIGO and UNIR. Since 2020 he has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pedagogy and Didactics (Area of Theory and History of Education) at USC. He is a member of the ESCULCA Research Group (Competitive Reference Group); of the regionally funded RIES Research Network (Immigration Network, School and Society); and the Network of Excellence University, Innovation and Learning in the Knowledge Society (EDU2014-51756-REDT and EDU2017-90651-REDT). He is a member of the PAIDEIA and Alén-ApS Teaching Innovation Groups of the USC. He has participated in different R+D+I activities and projects, among which the following stand out: Regional: • "Os programas de educación non formal e a empregabilidade da xuventude en Galicia" (2015-CP022). Contrato con la Consellería de Traballo - Xunta de Galicia. • Construíndo cidadanía global para a transformación social a través da aprendizaxe-servizo (ApS). Generación del conocimiento 2021. Erasmus+: • Service-learning to improve training and employability in wildfire management in Southern Europe (FacingFire). Erasmus+ KA203 (Strategic Partnership). • Mobilising university-community resources through SL(M) for the inclusion of migrants/refugees. Erasmus+ KA220-HED (Cooperation partnerships in higher education). He completed a research stay at the National University of Ireland, Galway (2017), where he obtained the Graduate Student Scholarship, an award granted by the International Association for Research on Service-Learning and Community Engagement. He has presented more than 40 works at National and International Conferences. He has published a total of 18 articles in scientific journals, 12 book chapters and 1 book in the Octaedro Editorial. He participated in the Organizing Committee of multiple scientific-technical conferences and events, highlighting the case of four International Conferences. Likewise, he has been part of the Scientific Committee of the I International Congress of Educational Psychology (UDC, 2020) and the III International Symposium “Service-Learning in the University. Employability and Quality” (USC, 2021). He is a member of the Editorial Board of Revista de Estudios e Investigación en Psicología y Educación (Scopus) and has evaluated articles for journals such as Estudos Sobre Educación, Perfiles Educativos or Teoría de la Educación. He has more than 100 hours of teacher training. He has directed a total of 17 Degree Final Projects and 17 Master Final Projects. He has participated as a teacher in different university teacher training activities at USC and UVIGO. He has been part of the Evaluation Commissions in the VII and VIII Calls for Educational Innovation Projects in Service-Learning of the USC, as well as the II Awards for Teaching Innovation Projects in Service-Learning of the UDC.
