Doctor by the Consorzio fra le università di Genova, Pavia e Torino; Università di Torino with the thesis Studio della degradazione di miscele polimeriche, copolimeri e polimeri a struttura controllata 1996. Supervised by Dr. Oscar Chiantore.

Fellow by the Italian Federation of the Chemical Industry (Federchimica) in 1991, PhD fellow in Chemical Sciences by the Italian University Ministery in 1992-95, European Union Science & Technology post-doc fellow (Programme in Japan) at Osaka University (Japan, 1996-97, in the prof. Koichi Hatada`s group), and European Commission Marie Curie fellow at the Institute of Technological Investigations of the USC in 2003-04 (in the prof. M. Arturo López Quintela's group). Assistant Professor of Macromolecular Chemistry (Ricercatore universitario di Chimica Industriale e dei Materiali Polimerici) at the Universitá degli Studi di Torino, Italy, since 1998. Tenure track position (Ramon y Cajal contract, 2005-2010) at the USC, Associate Professor (Professor Titular, 2010-2021), and finally Full Professor (Catedrático de Universidad) of Physical Chemistry since 2022. Short-term visiting professor stays (> 3 months) at the USC (2001) and at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, Research Center for Photovoltaics at Tsukuba, Japan (2016, in the Vladimir Svrcek's group).
