Doctor by the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela with the thesis Formación e inserción sociolaboral de los graduados en pedagogía De las expectativas a la realidad 2018. Supervised by Dr. Miguel Anxo Santos Rego.

Doctor in Education from USC with International Mention and Extraordinary Award. He was also awarded the Extraordinary Degree Award and the Extraordinary Master's Degree Award. His main research interests are: labour pedagogy, analysis of labour market integration processes in higher education, active teaching methods and transversal competences and employability. Throughout his academic career he has received various competitive grants: Collaboration Grant (2011), Pre-doctoral Grant from the Xunta de Galicia (2013) and FPU Grant from the Ministry of Education (2014). Since 2023 he is Associate Professor in the Department of Pedagogy and Didactics of the USC. He is a member of the Esculca Research Group (Competitive Reference Group), as well as the RIES Research Network and the UNIASC Network of Excellence. He is a member of the Teaching Innovation Group PAIDEIA of the USC. He participated in various R&D&i activities and projects, including the following: Autonomous Communities: - Study "Non-formal education programs and youth employability in Galicia" (2015-CP022). Contract with the Consellería de Trabajo - Xunta de Galicia. - Learning-and-cooperation for development. Training for global citizenship. Call for Education for Development 2023. State R&D&I Plan: - Service-Learning and Innovation at the University. A program to improve students' academic performance and social capital (EDU2013-41687-R). Call for RETOS 2013. - Family Involvement and Academic Performance in Primary Education. The Effectiveness of a Program for Parents (EDU2015-66781-R). Call for RETOS 2015. - Service-learning (S-L) and employability of university students in Spain: competences for employability (EDU2017-82629-R). Call for RETOS 2017. - The impact of the university on the community through service-learning projects. A study focusing on reciprocity (PID2021-122827OB-I00). Knowledge Generation 2021. Erasmus+: - Mobilising the resources of the university community through SL(M) for the integration of migrants/refugees. Erasmus+ KA220-HED (Higher Education Cooperation Partnerships). He has carried out two competitive research stays in prestigious universities. One at the Complutense University of Madrid (2015) and the other at Cardiff University (2017). He has participated in numerous national and international conferences, presenting more than 50 papers. He is also the author of 34 publications in scientific journals, 14 book chapters, 2 books published by Dykinson and Octaedro and various research reports. He was the coordinator of the Social Education Degree at the USC. He is currently Secretary of the Faculty of Educational Sciences and Coordinator of the Erasmus Programme at the USC. He is UNED advisor at the Teixeiro Penitentiary Centre. He was ACSUG evaluator between 2014 and 2018. He was also evaluator of the Docentia Programme at the UDC (2015). He is a member of the editorial board of Revista de Estudios e Investigación en Psicología y Educación, and evaluator of impact journals such as Behavioural Sciences, Revista Educar, Social Sciences, Education Research International, Sustainability, Trends in Higher Education, Revista de Educación, Educatio Siglo XXI, Revista Fuentes, Revista Publicaciones, Revista Complutense de Educación or Revista de Teoría de la Educación. He has participated as a member of the organising committee of several international conferences (6) and was a member of the scientific committee of the 1st International Congress of Educational Psychology (2020) and the 3rd International Symposium "Service-Learning at the University: Employability and Quality" (2021).
