Abstract

The USC (University of Santiago de Compostela) FRASEONET Research Group is working on a project on Phraseodidactics: FRASEOTEXT. It is meant to be a didactic tool to help Spanish learners (target group of teenagers and adults) to acquire the linguistic competence in French. This tool which is completely new is meant to help in all of their oral and written discourse production. With this in mind, and using the corpus linguistics as a methodology both to study the language in use and its application in areas such as language teaching, we have elaborated a parallel bilingual corpus (French-Spanish) composed of written texts from literary works together with their oral reproductions. In this paper we will address both the formation development of such corpus, based on the three fundamental elements that define a corpus (representativeness, specification of the criteria, and consistence between these criteria and the corpus design), and the detailed presentation of the criteria used for the creation of this corpus
