Doctor by the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela with the thesis Environmental assessment of wood and non-wood based products 2009. Supervised by Dr. Gumersindo Feijoo Costa, Dr. María Teresa Moreira Vilar.

Associate Professor Chemical engineer as degree (USC, 2005), she got her PhD in 2009. She is postdoctoral researcher at the University of Santiago de Compostela under the Ramón y Cajal fellowship. Her main research topics include the sustainability assessment applying life cycle assessment and carbon footprint in industrial, forestry, agricultural and food sectors. These research activities have produced 3 PhD theses (currently, she is co-director of 1 Ph.D. thesis), 100 papers published in international journals (56 as first author; 88 Q1, 10 Q2 and 2 Q3), 8 book chapters and 3 national publications. She has an H-index of 27 (with 2020 total citations by SCOPUS, 03/09/2018). She obtained the Young research award “Agustin de Betancourt y Molina” medal by Spanish Royal Academy of Engineering in November 2016.
