Doctor by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid with the thesis El espectáculo de lo real en el texto televisivo Gran Hermano 2001. Supervised by Dr. Jesús González Requena.

Enrique Castelló-Mayo (Madrid, 1968) is Associate Professor at the Faculty of Communication Sciences of the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC) since 2004, after having previously been Professor and Researcher at the Universities of Valladolid and Complutense de Madrid (Spain). PhD in Information Sciences, Bachelor of Visual and Auditory Image Sciences, and Expert in Production of Reports and Documentaries for Television, achieved at the Complutense University of Madrid. With three six-year research periods recognized until 2019, he is/was Principal Researcher of the european project "CloudClass: Low Cost, Mobile, Cloud & Template Based Augmented Reality Studio for Education" (Eurostars - E115354), the international project «EUVOS. Intangible Cultural Heritage. For a European subtitling program in non-hegemonic languages ​​»(MINECO, CSO2016-76014-R), and Principal Researcher of the Estudos Audiovisuais Competitive Reference Group (USC – GI: 1786) and Evaluating Expert in the Scientific Coordination, Evaluation and Monitoring Division and Technician of the State Research Agency (Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, Spain). He is the author of several books and academic articles focused on the study of the media production of reality, both in its discursive and narratological aspects and in technological innovation applied to virtual reality (CGI scenographies in real time), where he has two developments of software referenced in the General Registry of Intellectual Property with registration numbers 03/2019/202 "Virtual TV Set Light Analyzer" and 03/2018/1113 "Virtual TV Set Sensor Middleware". Institutional Image Advisor at USC until June 2018, he has been Coordinator since 2015 of the Degree in Audiovisual Communication and the Double Degree in Audiovisual Communication and Journalism at USC, as well as Deputy Coordinator of CIDUS (Platform for Innovation and Experimentation in Digital Content) . At the educational level, he teaches, coordinates and is the author of various subjects of the Degree in Audiovisual Communication related to narratology, language, writing, technological innovation and audiovisual creativity. He is also a teacher in the Official Master's Degrees of the Faculty of Communication Sciences, Faculty of Political Science and Faculty of Nursing, as well as the Master's Degree in Digital Marketing at the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences, and the University Master's Degree Erasmus Mundus in Lexicography coordinated by the Friedrich-Alesander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (Bavaria, Germany). Among other recognitions, he has received the Innovation Award from the Organ and Blood Donation Agency, the II ApS Educational Innovation Award from the University of Santiago de Compostela and the quality stamps "Young Talent" from INJUVE (Ministry of Health , Consumption and Social Welfare, Spain) and “EYCH 2018” (“European Year of Cultural Heritage”, granted by the European Parliament and the Council of the EU; art. 2: EU 2017/864). Regarding his professional career, it is worth mentioning his time at the EFE News Agency (TV Section), the Antena 3 TV News Area or the New Information and Communication Technologies Program of the Ministry of Education and Culture (Spain).
