Doctor by the Universidade de Vigo with the thesis Evaluación del fenómeno del sexting y de los riesgos emergentes de la red en adolescentes de la provincia de Ourense 2017. Supervised by Dr. Yolanda Rodríguez Castro, Dr. María Lameiras Fernández.
Graduated in Social Education and Graduated in Psychopedagogy, she has a Doctor in Educational and Behavioral Sciences from the University of Vigo. Her Thesis obtained the qualification of Cum Laude with International Mention and the Extraordinary Prize. In her teaching career she was linked to the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the University of Vigo and the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities of the International University of La Rioja (UNIR). She currently works as a teacher and researcher at the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the University of Santiago de Compostela, linked to the ESCULCA Research Group [Competitive Reference Group of the Galician I+D+I System]. Her journey in the research sphere has generated a multiplicity of relevant publications (books, chapters...), highlighting her contributions published in journals indexed in JCR or SJR. In this sense, its priority lines of research are articulated around: education and gender; feminist pedagogy; the study and prevention of multiple forms of violence against women (online and offline); sexuality and sexual education; Social Education, as well as the pedagogical treatment of sexting and new digital phenomena.
