Zusammenfassung
This Thesis aims to contribute to the clinical implementation of 3D printing procedures for the preparation of personalized medicines in a hospital setting. Semisolid extrusion and volumetric 3D printing strategies were developed. Printlets were designed for pharmacological and dietary treatments of pediatric patients diagnosed with rare diseases and also for any person with characteristics (sex or physiopathological) that require dose customization. In this Thesis, volumetric 3D printing was upgraded, for first time, for the simultaneous manufacturing of oral dosage forms of different geometries. Additionally, quality assurance was addressed by designing a 3D printer with an integrated analytical balance for in-line quality control of printlets, ensuring that the printed medicines meet mass uniformity specifications.
