Resumo

The present study reports the results of the implementation and the evaluation of the teaching sequences developed during the entrance course to Universidad Nacional del Litoral (UNL), on the topics Gases and Dissolutions. For the construction of these sequences, the latest research into the learning of the above mentioned topics was taken into account. Tasks designed according to content hierarchy, beginning with the general concepts that the student already knows and then moving towards the specific ones, were proposed. The suggested teaching sequence on Gases consists of two major items: characteristics of the gaseous state and gas mixture. The one proposed for Dissolutions comprises four sections: mixtures, dissolutions, dissolution processes and concentration. As regards their implementation, initiation, development and application tasks were carried out. Evaluation was made by means of a quali-quantitative methodology and the results obtained, both through the frequency of each one of the main relationships and the reduction in the number of non-academic relationships, allow us to state and conclude that the methodology used in this study significantly improves the learning of our students entering UNL.
