Abstract
The paper outlines a striking parallel between the French philosopher Jacques Derrida and the Spanish writer Javier Marias. This parallelism is accentuated around the occasion of the translation, that both of them understand as creation without an original text, and highlights the concern of an era that has transformed the translation in a subject of philosophical reflection.
