Abstract

The violation of custodial measures in young people with judicial measures has seriousconsequences, both for individuals and for society. Therefore, it is necessary to determine thefactors that contribute to the explanation of these behaviors. The aim of this study is to evaluatethe differences in a set of risk factors according to the presence and type of violation. The sampleconsisted of 177 young people serving custodial-ordered measures, aged 16 to 22 years old.Information was obtained using the Spanish version of the Youth Level Service-Case ManagementInventory (IGI-J). No gender differences were found among all the study variables, although a fewdifferences emerged between the groups regarding specific types of violation of court orders. Specifically, the group with only non-return obtained significantly higher scores in personality traitsand antisocial attitudes. These results highlight the need to develop risk assessment tools thatconsider this specific type of behavior.
