Resumen

A raíz de algunos de los procesos urbanos acontecidos en la ciudad contemporánea, el espacio público se ha convertido en un concepto de uso común. Sin embargo, la inflación discursiva suscitada se desarrolló en paralelo a la desestabilización de su conceptualización geográfica. El agotamiento de unas maneras de hacer, heredadas del pensamiento moderno, demasiado encorsetadas en una previsible y aburrida red de oposiciones binarias, dificultaba descubrir y describir nada que no estuviese de alguna manera prescrito. Junto a esto, la aparición de unas epistemologías más creativas y experimentales, instigadas por un inusitado debate ontológico, llevará a considerar que cualquier investigación sobre el espacio público deba abordarse desde la perspectiva de una multiplicidad relacional que niega su condición de realidad dada y cuestiona sus aproximaciones más normativas.
