Abstract

The evolution of agri-food systems has been decisive to the development of human societies. Thus, nowadays, the current hegemonic system induces modes of food production, distribution and consumption, which contribute in a major way in the socio-environmental crisis. In such a context, a change of agrifood paradigm is required in order to promote the transformations necessary for the ecosocial transition. The creation of spaces for collective reflection and co-construction of alternative agri-food systems appears as a privileged context for contributing to such a change. In this regard, education can play a key role : it can stimulate the establishment of such spaces, support the learning that takes place there and invite to the analysis, the discussion and the dissemination of promising initiatives. In this sense, this article offers essential elements for the development of a framework strategy for socio-educational action for adults, inspired by the ecologist trend of environmental education and based on the principles of agroecology.
