Abstract

The article describes the living conditions of children in poverty in Spain from a multidimensional perspective. To this end, we perform an approximation of each of the dimensions, components, and indicators of child wellbeing based on secondary data from statistical sources and reports from entities and agencies linked to the study of poverty. The results indicate that children with fewer resources have higher levels of deprivation compared to those with higher incomes. This analysis highlights the impact of economy poverty on their daily lives but needs to be combined with other indicators that examine well-being from a multidimensional approach to address the different manifestations of poverty in its complexity. It concludes with a reference to the need to promote specific policies that consider the rights of children.
