The importance of creativity and theoretical complexities of the research area defined an enabling framework for this thesis. Three objectives guide the research: first, analyze the performance in the Test CREA of a large sample of children, adolescents and adults of different ages, educational levels and places of residence. The second general objective is building a new procedure of analysis of questions generated by the subjects. The third objective is investigating relationship between traditional CREA assessment, procedure established in the Manual, and the new model that analyze peculiarities of each question. The study has three stages, in the first performances in CREA are analyzed in a large sample of 4090 people: 1016 children, 1068 and 2006 adolescents and young adults. The sample was composed of men and women with different educational experiences. The sample of children was formed with people from three different geographical locations in Argentina: Tucuman, Río Negro y Rio Cuarto. In the second stage, a qualitative analysis of the questions made by individuals considering originality and content of the questions is done. Of the initial sample, were selected 185 cases of children, 113 teenagers and 210 adults. A new rating system that scores questions as very common, common and unique was constructed. Finally, in the third step, judges agreement studies were performed and relationships between traditional and alternative procedure were analyzed. In addition, the types of questions asked by extreme cases, lower and higher scores, were analyzed. The thesis is divided into two main sections: theoretical and empirical. In the first two theoretical chapters are included, one based on the current field of research and other about specific area of evaluation of creativity. In the empirical section the three stages are presented, for each of them, methodological issues, results, and interpretations are described. Finally, final considerations, new questions, future research and an epilogue are presented. Among the most important results, differences in CREA according to socio-demographic variables were observed. Correlations between measurements were high and significant in all groups. In the second stage, a general classification that includes very common, common and unique questions for each group was constructed. It was observed that the three groups formulate similar questions to each stimulus, also was observed that contents and structures of the questions differ according to stimulus. In the third stage, the results indicate consistency and concordance of judges in the new procedure. Also, were observed high correlations between traditional and alternative procedure, and associations between levels of creativity defined by both procedures. The greatest potential of alternative procedure appears to be evaluating extreme lower cases.
