Resumo

The American Academy of Pediatric (2003, 2012a) has announced the impact of structure, dynamics and family functioning on child well-being and development (specially, during early childhood). In broken families, adults and children should cope many changes in a short time under the influence of different factors (like age, kind of relationship between parents after break up or parental conflict level), that could become in stressors and increase the risk to suffer physical, psychological and behavioral disorders in a short and long time. In this study we will pay attention to assessment externalizing problems (or behavioral difficulties) on little children exposed to this situation. Participants were 136 parents with children between 3-5 years old; who have been main observers of their behavior. The assessment was made across System of Assessment of Behavioral Children and Adolescent/BASC P-1 (Reynolds y Kamphaus, 2004). Our result show more behavioral difficulties during early childhood on sons of parental break up.
