Abstract
The hegemonic paradigm of unlimited growth has encouraged the proliferation of various destinations with overtourism. Alternatively, places with low visitor rates vindicate themselves as undertourism, as an opportunity to offer a more relaxed and respectful tourism. This contribution approaches Trevinca Mountains as a heterogeneous area where both dynamics are present in dialogue. Through analysing interviews carried out to local stakeholders, two different discourses associated with overtourism and undertourism are interpreted. Finally, uncertain scenarios because of the coexistence of these two different tourist models arise
