Resumo

The boom of social networks during the last decade has been the apogee of the interactivity in online journalism. These platforms built spaces suitable for multidirectional relationships between media and users maximizing the possibilities of interactivity. In this context, Twitter is one of social networks with greater generating capacity of influence, working as a space of social relations and information portal. Because of this television news opt to join this phenomenon and implant it in their communication strategy. This research analyzes the Twitter profiles of the main television news of the general channels of Spain and the relationship between the social network and the TV news itself. The objective is to analyze the use that is being given to Twitter in the information field of the television and check its level of effectiveness as interactive strategy.
