Resumo

This paper has the aim of carrying out a teaching proposal in which, through a series of interdisciplinary activities, specific contents from different subjects of the current Spanish education law (LOMCE) are developed, addressing also the seven basic skills. This proposal is designed to be carried out in the 2nd year of the baccalaureate (A-levels in UK) and specifically in the subject of Earth and Environmental Science. To this purpose, an event of a scientific and historical nature, known as the ‘year without a summer’ 1816, will be used as the backbone of this proposal, in which different activities will be carried out. Besides, these activities include usual practices in science didactics,as are the argumentation and the inquiry
