Abstract
We present a study of the pre-school teachers' beliefs making use of interviews and a qualitative methodology to analyse the information. A comparative study shows that those teachers who consider the pupil as a protagonist in the organization of his own tasks are in favour of autonomy, collaboration and equality in the relations which make the life together and the free expression easy. Thouse teachers who consider the pupil's task as dependent on the teacher's commands underline the importance of a tidy, laborious, more controlled climate, less opened to the free expression
