Abstract

Introduction: This work is a descriptive study about the importance that future preschool teachers consider having corporal expression. Methodology: The sample consisted of 202 participants (197 women and 5 men), all of them students of the Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education at the University of Santiago de Compostela. The data collection was carried out by means of a descriptive questionnaire. Results: We observed that 55.5% of the students considered themselves little formed in body expression. 54% of the students considered that the teachers of the faculty did not have specific training and 51.5% that the faculty did not have sufficient resources. Conclusions: In view of the results obtained in our study, we consider that the training of Early Childhood Education teachers should have more specific contents in relation to the Body Expression.
