Resumo

This study analyzes relationships between core self-evaluations (CSE), task significance and affective commitment (AC). The model was tested on a sample of employees from knowledge-intensive SMEs in Spain. Results provide support for a partially mediated model whereby CSE influence employees’ AC, both directly as indirectly, by fostering perceptions of task significance.
