Resumo

How the public television manage networks at the day of the general election? In order to answer this question, we suggest a comparison between a public television and other regional tv in Spain during the election day celebrate on 26th of June 2016. We will analyze the Twitter activity of TVE (Spanish Television @tve_telediario) and TVG (Galician Television @TVGalicia) from 7.30 pm until an hour after we know official results. We will focus on messages on the network microbloging which analyze through an index card elaborated ourself. Our aim is comparate the trend in the management of social networks by national public television and a regional tv. Search strategy that tv follows and determine how is the production information on new digital platforms on 26th of June is the purpose of this study. Also, we can determine if the media take advantage of the posibilities that have these new tools, specially as a new channel of distribution of news. We will complete the study with a brief theoretical framework of synergies between social networks and television stations in the current political communication.
