Sara Fernández López has been a doctor since 2001. Her thesis was involved in the Finance of the Higher Education Systems. She has been a Full Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Santiago de Compostela since 2023, after 27 years of working as a lecturer and researcher. She has two recognized investigation sections (sexenios), the last one is in force and corresponds to the period 2010-2016 and a third requested (2017-2022). She is accredited as Full Professor by ANECA (25/01/2022). Her main lines of research are Entrepreneurship (Technology and Academic Entrepreneurship, Firm performance (growth, innovation and survival) and financial issues) and Household Finance, both approached from an empirical perspective related to applied microeconometrics. Her research in these areas have contributed to the advancement of scientific knowledge. Thus, her contributions include 46 JCR articles (8in the first DECIL), more than 47 SCOPUS articles, more than 32 articles in journals indexed in prestigious databases other than the two mentioned above and 8 book chapters in Q1-SPI publishers. At 23/01/2023, she had received a high number of citations: 3,097 in GS (H: 295, i10: 86), 503 in SCOPUS (H: 12) and more than 250 in WOS (H: 9). For the development of her research, she has benefited from different sources of funding. Thus, she has led (Investigador Principal or IP) 3 competitive research projects at European (1), Spanish (1) and regional (1) levels. She has also participated as a member of the team in 17 competitive research projects at European (2), Spanish (2) and regional (13) levels. The funding obtained (in the total of 20 projects) amounts to 1,451,940 euros. This financial aid has enabled her to participate in more than 70 congresses and conferences, both in Spain and abroad, and in one of them she was a speaker at the plenary session (ALTEC, 2015 - Brazil). Sara Fernández López has also contributed to the transfer of knowledge to the society through her collaboration activities with industry and public sector. She stands out as co-author of numerous technical reports used by policy-makers in the design of public policies. In particular: she has participated in 13 of the GEM GALICIA EXECUTIVE REPORTS, from 2010 to the present (where she also plays the role of Coordinator of the GEM-University Team), and 11 of the UNIVERSITIC REPORTS: ICT in the Spanish University System (2007-2017). These reports have been prepared at the request of the Sectorial Commission of Information and Communication Technologies of the CRUE to know and analyse the current situation and the evolution of Information Technologies (IT) in Spanish universities. Also, thanks to the collaboration with the public and private sectors, she has attracted funding amounting to more than 250,000 euros through its participation in research contracts with public and private entities under art. 83 of the LOU. Specifically, she has led 2 research contracts (IP) and participated as a collaborating researcher in another 19 research contracts. She has also contributed through the training of human resources, specifically she has been responsible for training: 4 researchers linked to a research project, 2 FPU fellow, 3 pre-doctoral fellows, 1 postdoctoral fellow and several collaboration fellows. To date, he has supervised 9 doctoral theses (with publications indexed in JCR and up to 7 awards).
