As a highly experienced researcher with expertise in chemistry, materials science, and engineering, I have a deep understanding of fundamental theories and their practical applications in the development of advanced materials. With a focus on soft materials such as polymers and composites, I have honed my skills in the synthesis and characterization of these materials, as well as their fabrication into devices with specific properties and functions. Throughout my career, I have tackled a wide range of research topics, including the synthesis of smart materials like self-healable polymers and composites for flexible and transparent electronic devices, dielectric elastomers for haptic devices and soft robots, and biodegradable polymers to solve environmental pollution challenges. Currently, I am serving as a Marie-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at CiQUS- Center for Research in Biological Chemistry and Molecular Materials at the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain. My work here involves the development of self-healing materials for soft robots. My previous experience as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Pennsylvania State University and the National Tsing Hua University includes working on projects such as magnetic material-based soft robots for biomedical applications and non-invasive wearable biosensors for real-time monitoring applications. I also worked on a wearable and flexible chemical sensor (TENS) combined with a robotic hand to identify hazardous chemical analytes. Over the years, I have successfully secured funding for various research projects through proposal writing and other means, and have presented my findings at international conferences across the globe. At the E-MRS Fall Meeting and Exhibit at the Warsaw University of Technology, Poland, in 2018, I was even honoured with the Best Oral Presentation Award. My research track record demonstrates not only my ability to deliver high-quality research outcomes but also my capacity to manage other responsibilities, such as student supervision, laboratory management, and planning of visits. With a deep passion for the discipline of Polymer Science and Engineering, I am eager to continue exploring new frontiers in the field and making meaningful contributions to the advancement of soft materials and their applications.
