Abstract
The author of this presentation, who has also been the coordinator of the monographic issue, presents the reform carried out in the main State civil rules operated by 17/2021 Act, of 15 December 2021. She explains the content of the works included here, aimed at their critique and gloss. She explains the theoretical and pragmatic origins of the reform and carries out a succinct summary of the contributions contained in this volume. She also makes personal reflections on those points which, in her opinion, have a greater importance. Finally, she gives her own assessment of the significance of the new civil regulations on non-human animals.
