Abstract
In the last few decades, there has been a significant increase in the demand for the general population to understand basic concepts of probability and statistics. This highlights the need to improve the teaching and learning processes in these areas, while considering the socio-affective aspect of mathematics. In this article, we present a proposal using the Project-Based Learning (PBL) method to effectively and contextually teach these concepts.
