Resumo

The objective of this study is to investigate the effects of multiple signal electromagnetic fields in RAW 264.7 cells at 900 and 2450 MHz and their combination. Induction of heat shock proteins HSP 70 and TNF in response to stress due to electromagnetic field source may suggest that they shift cellular equilibrium towards survival or initiating alterations in cell physiology. To carry out this experimental study in vitro RAW cells according to the following experimental scheme were performed: Group I: Irradiation at 900MHz (PTR = 12).Group II: Irradiation at 2450MHz (PTR = 12). Group III: Simultaneous irradiation at900MHz (PTR = 6W) and 2450MHz (PTR = 6 W). In addition, one control group wasincluded in the study: Group IV was not irradiated. The experimental system comprised a GTEM (gigahertz TEM) chamber connected to two vector signal generators, a signal mixer and amplifier, a directional coupler, a spectrum analyzer and a power meter. In order to maintaining the cells at a constant temperature of 37 degrees it is designed a heating device that enables an automated temperature control during the radiation exposure time
