Caracterización rural de los municipios gallegos, de cara a una acertada aplicación de las iniciativas comunitarias de desarrollo rural

Resumo

The most urgent problems of the rural world (depopulation, loss of equipment and services, economic weakening...) require of fast and forceful performances that allow their development. And in this rural development the main elements are the territorial approach and the competitiveness of the territory, with the local management of the resources available. Therefore, it is very important the characterization and the territorial boundary of the rural spaces, to orient correctly the strategies to reach this development. In this work a we propose a procedure for the rural hierarchial structuring of the municipalities of Galicia. This method allows us to obtain a series of conclusions to improve the characterization made through certain classic criteria, today questioned, and tries to be a first step to facilitate new boundaries and comparative analyses that allow a more eficient aplication of the communitarian initiatives of rural development.
