Abstract

The present work intends to carry out a study of the paintings of the Antechamber of the Queen of the Royal Palace of El Pardo, executed by the painter Jerónimo de Cabrera, taking into account the close relationship that exists between the depicted story of the biblical heroine Esther and the royal story of Queen Margaret of Austria, as well as the perfect adaptation of the pictorial set with the place and date on which it was made. In this way, we will analyze how the cycle really tells the story of two queens at the same time in a space thought for female sovereigns
