Resumo

The broadleaves wood study is insufficiently made in the peninsular northwest, and the raw wood in Galicia present an excess of eucalyptus respect from coniferous (Diaz-maroto & VILA, 2002), advising investigation and investment for a better knowledge of the forest resources. The development of optimal drying processes is fundamental and allows industrial advantages in the second forest transformation. In the present work a sampling of oak plots has been inventoried, extracting test tubes and discs of wood to analyze the saturated moisture content and loss humidity evolution in a camera of stabilization and a drying stove, concluding that saturated moisture content of this wood surpasses 65 % and its relationated with dasometric parameters but not fisiographics. Also, the difficult to obtain the theoretical moisture of 12 % (UNE – AENOR, 1978), demands correction based on the moisture of hygroscopic balance.
