Abstract
Rural tourism leads to the rediscovery of forgotten territories, often not intercepted by fast road infrastructures but crossed by ancient roads that played a founding role in the anthropisation of the territory. An angled gaze, exercised along the road travelled, provides the traveller with the first clues for understanding the organisation of the territory, the relations that exist between the design of the land and buildings, recognising certain typical features that contribute to the identification of places. Starting from the knowledge of the territory and the forms stratified over time, the design action is directed towards the prefiguration of new spaces for tourism, recovering or re-elaborating in contemporary terms the themes of rural tradition
