Resumo

The structure and functions of the Galician lower-nobility's land domains are based on the commercialization of its surplus of income. Therefore the knowledge of the commercialization practices explains the central point of this Galician ruling class economy. The example of Sao Fiz stately home represents a model from inland Galicia. This country was basically beyond control of the «fidalguia», a very large class whose homes not only fill the conuntryside, but also caused the structure and evolution of the whole economy between 18th and 19th centuries. The collection of the income and its use are studied in this short review.
