Abstract

Syllogism is a kind of deductive and demostrative reasoning that involves quantified statements, although limited to a few inference patterns and precise fragments of natural language. In this paper, we propose an alternative type of syllogism introducing the concept of analogy, evaluating the similarity of quantifiers through cardinality and developing a kind of reasoning characterized by plausibility.
