Abstract
The article highlights the importance of the two romantic novels by Emilia Pardo Bazán, Insolación and Morriña. Specifically, it focuses on the second and comments on the work of Ermitas Penas Varela, who philologically analyzes Pardo Bazán's texts to explain the researcher's comparison with these novels and other archives of the writer. In the introduction to this edition, the process of making Morriña is shown through the letters that its author sent to her acquaintances, in addition to those of her publication. Further on, the critical reading section shows the reader the external and internal structure in which the chapters are presented and their content up to the epilogue. The Penas Varela edition shows that Morriña is not a secondary novel and that it is important to know and unravel all the works of an author like Pardo Bazán to understand her much better.
