Resumen
El objetivo de este estudio era identificar las percepciones de las familias sobre la frecuencia y forma en que sus hijos escolarizados en Educación Primaria utilizan los teléfonos móviles y el tipo de actividades que realizan con ellos. La investigación adopta una metodología cuantitativa mediante el uso del cuestionario. Participaron 1,135 estudiantes. Los resultados revelan tres usos principales del teléfono móvil: interacción social, tareas escolares y de búsqueda de información, y ocio. En general, el nivel de uso del móvil es bajo o moderado y destaca el consumo de contenidos de vídeo y videojuegos. Tras los análisis multivariados de la va- rianza (MANOVA) se observaron diferencias significativas entre el tipo de uso y variables como el sexo, curso escolar, las horas diarias del uso del móvil y el impacto en el rendimiento escolar.
