Resumen

Tuberculosis is a disease of obligatory notification; It is necessary to carry out an epidemiological study on the risk contacts of the subject studied. The diagnosis of suspicion is made with the microbiological study of sputum, initially with bacilloscopy or nucleic acid amplification, although the certainty will be based on the sputum culture (through the antibiogram); however, due to its delay, species can be rapidly identified by molecular tests introduced in recent years. Treatment of the active disease is based on a combination of drugs, taking the resistance into account: 2-month induction phase with isoniazid, rifampicin, ethambutol and pyrazinamide; then 4-month consolidation phase with the first two.
