Resumo

What are, and how are, the relations between Ethics and Politics right here and right now? Furthermore, what and how can they be and ought they to be? Many answers to the first question can be found in contemporary philosophical thought. The same happens in the case of the second question. This paper will review the first question dwelling on ideas by Aristotle, as well as by Kant and Mill. In doing so it will also examine the aforementioned relations between Ethics and Politics. The paper will also provide an answer to the second question. Based on this, it will also outline a proposal focused on the question of virtue, which is generally considered a crucial and meaningful in how the relations between Ethics and Politics are understood and developed.
