Abstract

The Professional Practice represents the end of the university training journey. The new perspectives for a competent professional have evolved towards a comprehensive concept, resulting in a meeting where knowledge, skills and experiences closely related to the work environment come together. This cross-sectional, quantitativequalitative work described and analyzed the initial expectations and the final perceptions of the students, tutors and teachers of the PP, cohort 2017, about the evaluation and professional skills; and the differences between what was expected and perceived, with respect to the aforementioned variables. The opinion of 47 students, 11 tutors and 4 university professors was surveyed before and after the internship process through questionnaires and semistructured interviews. To analyze the relationship between two dependent ordinal variables (expectations and perceptions), the Wilcoxon test was applied; In addition, the information was triangulated with the opinions collected in the 2nd instrument. Regarding the characteristics of the evaluation, at the end of the process, the students weighted all the items with high values (>4.1). The other statements were estimated differently by the three agents, as well as the evaluation of intellectual, organizational, communicational and interpersonal skills. Evaluation is a priority topic on the subject's agenda. The need to agree on criteria is visualized, emphasizing both the self-assessment processes and the feedback of the practice process. PP is questioned as a space for the integration of knowledge and the development of skills aimed at the training of autonomous, collaborative, reflective, critical, flexible and creative professionals.
