Zusammenfassung

This paper sets out to analyse the urban chorographies of the city of A Coruña overa lengthy period in history running from the 16th to the 18th centuries. It also reveals the changes that have taken place in the way "artists" have "looked" at their subjects, from the first images, which are mere fictitious recreations, to conventional cartographic figures, bird's eye views, large panoramic depictions, and on to the most realistic of vedute.
