Abstract

This article constitutes a comparative analysis between different Latin American countries that are part of the Mercosur and their respective Laws on access to information; for which the legislation of said countries is taken as sources of analysis through the revision of its regulation on transparency, through the elaboration of worksheets based on indicators of the RTA model and the principles of transparency of the ARTICLE 19 portal. This process allowed us to identify differences and similarities, since some countries have complementary laws such as Law of Citizen Participation (Brazil), with regulations that are aimed at strengthening transparency; furthermore, it could be clearly distinguished that not all countries have the so-called principles of transparency in their regulations; therefore, some reforms are necessary, especially in the case of Uruguay.
