Abstract

Academic work on border issues has been expanding in recent years on an international scale, along with the so-called Border Studies. Geography undoubtedly plays a fundamental role in research on borders and their socio-spatial repercussions. In this text we suggest carrying out a state of the question on Spanish geographical production in border studies. In any case, given that, by definition, Border Studies are multidisciplinary, works from other related disciplines will also be included. Finally, Spanish production is discussed in relation to the international context, with the aim of detecting possible shortcomings and providing ideas to strengthen research on borders and boundaries
