Abstract

Political correctness, which is manifested in relation to the behaviours and attitudes of citizens but above all with their linguistic uses, is considered to be the "postmodern censorship" exercised in principle from various instances but always linked to civil society. But the application of some of its principles by the public authorities, especially the executive and the legislative authorities, is being detected, which could represent, in the context of the already called post-democracy, the reinvention of the usual censorship, exercised from the Power.
