Abstract

La pandemia de COVID-19 tuvo importantes repercusiones en la salud y el bienestar de las personas con TEA y sus familias, con mayores dificultades en el manejo de las actividades diarias, especialmente del tiempo libre y de las actividades estructuradas, sufriendo niveles altos de ansiedad y menor bienestar. El mantenimiento de las rutinas, se vio alterado, y las personas con TEA sufrieron mas trastornos del sueño que agravaron sus problemas sociales y emocionales, con más frecuencia de ansiedad, irritabilidad, obsesión, hostilidad e impulsividad. La interrupción de la asistencia médica conllevó menos apoyo terapéutico y disminución de los diagnósticos de TEA.
