Resumo

The ORDICA computer program has been carried out to facilitate the forest management by Division Method. The program has been designed in Object Pascal using Delphi programming, and it can be used under Windows 95, 98 or NT. This application program establishes clearcutting areas and the cutting schedule, starting from inventory data, yield tables or both. The ORDICA program facilitates the management with more than one species and with different site qualities. Also, it makes continous or discontinous harvest areas, and it allows to maintain complete inventory areas inside harvest areas. Moreover, the user can establish the cutting priorities, the cutting areas surface tolerance, the Planning duration and the accepted differences in rotation ages. The forest management by Division Method can be optimized with the ORDICA program, since it allows to simulate easily the results that are obtained with different management options.
