Resumen

Standard UNE-ISO 21500:2012 "Guidance on project management" provides guidance for project management and is focused to be used by any organization, including public, private or community-based organizations, and for any project, regardless of complexity, size or duration. The UNE-ISO 21500 provides a description of the concepts and processes that are considered to be good practice in project management In this paper we evaluate the standard to diagnose their suitability for industrial projects management. These projects have in common that involve products intended to be consumed by a human or animal. In general are delicate and perishable products, coming from the agricultural sector, they must to pass specific health checks, they have periods of their consumption and expiry periods are relatively short, so they require specific transport systems. These special features require to take into account a number of specific requirements to develop and manage these projects.
