Resumo

The need for progress in achieving more efficient route management systems, involves the integration of heuristic algorithms with GIS. The result are spatial decision support systems (SDSS). These systems must to be integrated with enterprise resource planning systems (ERP), in order to keep constantly updated information. We have developed a SDSS and we have implemented a planning software to estimate customer demand and be able to streamline the entire process of creating routes, all with full compatibility with the ERP in the factory. Savings can not be reduced to an improvement in transport efficiency by better management of routes, particularly applied to feed delivery process. It must also be computed: - A time-saving in information management by integrating information from the ERP system on the spatial decision support developed. - Environmental savings from lower CO2 emissions to the atmosphere by the shorter distances travelled by trucks.
