Resumo

The Northern Mountains of Galicia are a territory which, by their biological value, has been incorporated into various areas of environmental management- However, this extremely unique physical environment in the European context, has not received enough attention, much less specific protection. The aim of this work is to show the importance of the glacial and periglacial processes and the lithological control, which give to this area an exceptional value, within the European context.
