Resumo

The researches of the last decades on the Spanish cathedral chapters in the Early Modern Age provide a broad vision of these institutions. However, systematic studies are lacking on some chapters. This is the case of Oviedo, which, despite its importance, hardly has monographic studies. The purpose of this paper is to analyze some aspects of the religious behaviour of its canons through their testamentary dispositions, and put them in relation to the standard of living and position in the Asturias society of the Early Modern Age.
