Abstract
In this work, we do a review on the knowledgeabout natural and seminatural woodlands existing nowadaysin the Northern Galician-Asturian biogeographicalSubsector. Taking into account both published andunpublished data, an ecological, structural and floristiccharacterisation is made for each type of woodlanddescribed. In addition, we assess their importance forbiodiversity conservation from a floristical point of view andtheir and correspondence with the types of habitats listed inthe DC/92/43/CEE Annex I. Finally, we do some remarks onthe threats that are affecting the conservation value of thesewoodlands
